Hypnosis is a state where people are very relaxed and able to access powerful resources within the subconscious mind. In the state, senses and the imagination is enhanced, making it easy to daydream, visualize and remember certain things with the assistance of the Hypnotist.
But why is it that some people are able to enter the state of hypnosis very quickly and easily, and other struggle to relax and let go. Usually, people who have trouble going into Hypnosis have not been given enough information eliminate their fears and that fear is what stops them from "Letting go".
The truth is that Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that we all experience many times a day. If you've ever driven somewhere and then arrived at your destination without remembering certain streets or turns along the way, then you were in a state of light Hypnosis, driving with the subconscious part of your mind without giving much conscious thought to what was taking place. Daydreaming is also a good example of the trance state and we've all been bored into a day dream at one point or another.
Some people think that they will lose control or reveal secrets when in Hypnosis. This simply isn't true. If the Hypnotist were to ask you personal questions that you didn't want to answer, you would pop out of the state of Hypnosis and be perfectly wide awake and asking them what the hell they think they are doing. You won't lose control either, as a matter of fact you'll have more control during a Hypnosis Session.
The fact is that all Hypnosis is Self Hypnosis. Although the Hypnotist guides you and provides suggestions, you're the one that actually does it and makes it work. Without your consent and cooperation Hypnosis won't work. Of course since you're the one that does it, it's also impossible to get "stuck in Hypnosis" too. Although it's a very nice relaxing feeling and some people don't want to "come back" immediately simply because they want that few extra moments of deep relaxation. If anything, a person would simply drift off into a natural sleep and awaken as they normally would. Think about it, how many cases have you ever heard of where someone had to visit an emergency room because they are stuck in Hypnosis? None, Zero, Zip, Nada because it never happens.
So embrace the opportunity to utilize and experience Hypnosis, it's a gift we have been given to access that subconscious part of us that holds all the power we need to get motivated, lose weight, become successful and believe in ourselves so we can get the most out of our lives.
